Gary H. Bedian, CLO

Gary Bedian is an international commercial real estate developer and asset manager. With 26 years experience structuring multi-million dollar transactions, he specializes in real estate development, acquisition and disposition, international hotel franchising and management contract negotiations. Experienced with operations management, brand growth and market expansion, he approaches each new business challenge with a propensity for innovation and strategic planning. Gary Bedian is an articulate communicator and consensus-builder at all organizational levels.

Gary Bedian is a forward-thinking visionary who devises calculated strategies and implements realistic plans to accomplish his goals. In 1991 he launched Bedian International (BI) in Los Angeles, a real estate investment banking and advisory firm that identifies, negotiates, closes and manages hotel and commercial real estate transactions worldwide. BI provides a full scope of buyer services, including portfolio timing for acquisition and disposition, asset management, investment banking and project management. Under Gary’s direction, Bedian International has consummated, managed, advised on, and handled over one billion dollars in assets.

With a focus on strategic solutions analysis and fiscal responsibility to further business goals, Gary Bedian excels at creating the structure and operating plans necessary to prevail through market turbulence. He is skilled at identifying investment properties, value-enhanced opportunities and land for development.

Gary Bedian’s domestic expertise has translated into success with major business interests in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and the developing economies of former Soviet States. He was awarded major grants from the World Bank and IMF to formulate a privatization strategy for the high-tech sector in Armenia and he articulated a vision to investors for launching world-recognized hotel brands for the former Soviet state.

Gary Bedian has accumulated numerous designations and appointments, among them a 1992 appointment as Vice-Minister of Industry and Trade and Chief Advisor for the Republic of Armenia.  Mr. Bedian is also the Co-Founder of the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce, the 1st chamber for a former Soviet Republic.

As the Vice President of Property Management & Commercial Brokerage for Fred Sands Realty from 1987 to 1991, Gary Bedian founded the commercial brokerage division, directed a portfolio of 56 brokerage offices, managed 1.4 million square feet of commercial and residential properties, served on the President’s Advisory Board and enhanced bottom-line results. And, as Vice President of Integrated Resources, he launched the West Coast division, established property management and leasing offices, managed a 4.2 million square foot commercial portfolio spanning 11 states.

At the Institute of National Economy, Gary Bedian earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a Master of Economics degree with distinction.
